My best friend's wedding!

Hi friends!

Oh my word do I have news to tell y'all! First of all, my absolute best friend got married this past weekend! Lauren married her high school/college/graduate school sweetheart! Adam adores Lauren and you just know their love is meant to last. It was a privilege and honor to share in their special day.

Lauren and I met in Math 109 at UK. Our professor was Fuk Le Ho (I am serious!) and needless to say there was a little bit of a language barrier. We instantly clicked and together we tried our hands at college math. I made it through the semester but Lauren ended up finishing this requirement the following semester. I thought I would never see her again until I saw her name on my RA roster. We lived across the hall together our sophomore year in college and the rest is history. Now that we are out of college and are working, we realize that sophomore year in college was the best year and what we wouldn't do to relive a day! Since that time, we have cried together, vacationed together, worried about school together, stood up in weddings together, and been each other's best friend.

Gettin' her hair did
When it comes to anything, Lauren is organized. But as a bride, she took organized to a whole other level! She was her own wedding coordinator and saw after every last detail. She created an antique, charming, and beautiful wedding! Blue Ball Mason jars were accented by the bridesmaids dresses and lace overlay coordinated with her ivory dress. She was stunning and so was the church and Parrish hall.

What is amazing about my girlfriends who are married, is that on the day of their wedding they are cool, calm, and collected. Lauren was this way and I only hope to be this way on our wedding day. As for me, I was nervous just walking down the aisle. Not Lauren, she made everything about her day look like a walk in the park. This is a testament to her love for Adam and her readiness to be his wife!

The Dress!
Lauren's family and Adam's family support them, love them, and shared in their joy the entire weekend. Jane (Lauren's momma), Betty (Lauren's aunt) and Nana made sure us girls has plenty to eat and drink, were comfortable, and in turn we felt like family.

Bridesmaids and Matron of Honor
As always, hair and makeup was a ton of fun. We ate the entire time and before we knew it, it was time to put our dresses on and get Lauren ready! The ceremony was moving. I cried but let's just blame it on Kentucky allergies. You can't sing the Lord's prayer without me tearing up! Lauren got all of her guests and family, when the best man used a fan to cover up their first kiss. Lauren and Adam show no PDA and they didn't on their wedding day!

The reception had a ton of food and a brownie bar! Lauren is known for her brownies and it was a fitting tribute to the bride! The DJ kept Lauren and Adam busy for most of the night but those two kids were ready to get to the honeymoon, if you know what I am saying :)

Right now the newlyweds are in Hawaii! Aloha Mr. and Mrs. Hinton! Love y'all!

My best friend and the new Mrs. Hinton!
